Youth Activism Academy

This programme focuses on young activism and young activists. We are offering young people the opportunity to take part in an intensive Activism Academy programme where you will learn the skills to develop your own projects and campaigns to reduce racism and extremism in your own communities and wider society.

You will learn how to become effective activists against racial injustice, and gain the confidence and know-how to take steps to eradicating racial problems that affect us all.

You will be part of a cohort of 40 like-minded young activists and will be provided with ongoing support from our leaders and your peers.

Upon completion of the programme all participants can pitch to win 3 prizes of £1,000 to expand your project.

Programme Details

Our main goals are to encourage young people to explore their existing but perhaps untapped potential and grow into confident, educated and inclusive young leaders who are going to lead the way for racial equality for the next generation.

This is an intensive programme (with a 6-month commitment), so by the end of it, we truly believe that it will boost your potential to change the world for the better. 

The programme is made up of online learning sessions, in-person training days, field trips and a big celebration event at the finale of the programme to celebrate your success and progress.

  • Session 4: Public Speaking & Speech Writing
  • Session 5: Introduction to Politics
  • Field Trip - Cambridge University
  • Session 6: The Arts - Music, Dance, Storytelling
  • Session 7: Running Events & Demonstrations
  • 3 months: Ongoing support, developing your social action project
  • Final Event & Pitches
